Take Action

The Charlottesville Low-Income Housing Coalition’s progress and successes to date stem in large part from the overwhelming support of local residents, citizens, and members of the broader Charlottesville community. However, in order to continue to advocate for racial and economic justice in the city, CLIHC needs your support! Here are a number of ways to get involved:

SHARE YOUR CONCERNS!

Send an email to Council@charlottesville.gov, PlanningCommission@charlottesville.gov and the C’ville Plans Together Team (Engage@CvillePlansTogether.com).
Let them know that you support CLIHC’s recommendations to address racial and economic justice in Charlottesville.
CLIHC recommends expanding opportunities for new affordable housing in historically exclusionary neighborhoods, an affordable housing overlay to slow the tsunami of displacement in majority-Black neighborhoods and expanded Real Estate Tax Relief and Rent Relief for very low-income households.
