Ongoing City Council and Planning Commission Meetings:

Charlottesville City Council and the Planning Commission meet each month and often discuss affordable housing.  Please attend meetings and provide a public comment sharing your concerns about displacement of very low-income people, and the need for affordable housing for people earning less than $40,000/year.    

City Council meetings are held on the first and third Monday of every month at 6:30pm. For more information, including information on how to sign up for public comments, please visit the City Council website. 

Planning Commission meetings are held on the second Tuesday of every month at 5:30pm in the City Council chambers. For more information, please visit the Planning Commission website.
